The last couple of weeks , I’ve been having to make some very tough decisions. I’m always reminded at times like this how lucky I am to have such great and incredibly supportive friends and family in my life. And more recently to be working with a wonderful personal coach, like Jennifer Priest. This year has been filled with so many changes and Jennifer has been helping to make sure they are positive ones.
The debonair and thoughtful Stefan, recently sent me this word play on my name:
Very sweet of him and amidst a lot of tough decisions this brought a smile to my face. I just didn’t get why Stefan would see me as ‘mature’, especially since I like to think of myself as a modern day Peter Pan. Then I thought about the last few weeks and the decisions that were facing me and I got it. Even though, I am having more fun then ever and enjoy a lot of laughter and silliness, I, in part enjoy that because I’ve grown up.
A big thank you to Stefan and Jennifer for allowing me to see that maturing is a good thing!

I know a few of you have been asking about Always A Bridesmaid and what its all about, as I’ve been tweeting about it. And aside from the fact that it’s a project that my buddies, Ian Ferguson and Mark Leiren Young are working on, it is also a highly enjoyable, absolutely hysterical romantic comedy being filmed in front of a live studio audience in Van City.
Kris Krug was on the set of Always A Bridesmaid yesterday and got this great little interview with one of the producers, Colette Aubin, that tells you more:

Must say, I am quite flattered. Although I do think this is just about the two of them seeing me clad from head to toe in leather.

Always A Bridesmaid: Van City’s HOTTEST Tickets

I’ve often think that I live under a lucky star, albeit one that seems to have a sense of humor for the ridiculousness. One of the things that I am most fortunate for is a wealth of wonderful friends! Being Thanksgiving weekend, I am reminded of that every which way I look. And some of these friends are up to some very cool and creative things. These ones are probably the dangerous ones for me as they get my mind a buzz with excitement and the desire to follow them down the rabbit hole.
Two such friends are Mark Leiren Young and Ian Ferguson. Most recently these two gentlemen have decided to go down the rabbit hole together, in pursuit of Ian’s fabulously funny and talented gal, Kirsten Van Ritzen. You see Kirsten has created and written an absolutely hilarious new romantic sitcom, Always A Bridesmaid. And being as these cats love doing things in their own unique way, they’ve decided to film Always A Bridesmaid in front of a live studio audience. This I might add is the first time this has been done in Vancouver with a sitcom. Have been to two tapings now. It is a hoot and a great piece of fabulous theater for the even more fabulous price of $0.

Up until now, I’ve been keeping these HOT little tickets a secret from all, except hummingbird604 and clippernolan (I did after all need some arm candy), so I didn’t have to fight for tickets when I wanted them. Starting to feel a little selfish though, hoarding all the laughs. So here is the deal people. To get your hot little hands on tickets to one of the upcoming episodes of Always A Bridesmaid, email the show at bridesmaidaudience@gmail.com and give them the following information:

An attractive older woman is marrying a frat boy – who just happens to be her son’s best friend. Awkward!!! And Tommy morphs into Debbie Allen when he choreographs a hip-hop wedding dance.
Nov. 7 “Stranger Danger” featuring Irene Karas, June Wilde
Its inventory day and the boutique is a disaster. Not a good time for the city inspector to come calling! Meanwhile Nick is on a date and she is suspiciously skilled at pole dancing. Then a box of fireworks go missing. . .

Oh and I forgot to mention the terribly sexy, incredibly talented and oh so funny cast. They include: Kirsten Van Ritzen (as Mariel), Donnelly Rhodes (as Bob), Veena Sood (as Blaga), Chelan Simmons (as Savanna), Vincent Tong (as Tommy), and John Emmet Tracy (as Nick). Oh and just saying, the rest of you missed out this last weekend on the irresistibly sexy Stephen Lobo (from Godivas). Wow is he HOT to watch! And not that I’m bragging or anything, but I didn’t get to just watch him (and yes he totally makes you feel like an oh so very dirty voyeur), but I also got to sit nice and close to him over drinks afterwards. mmmm…….
