Roamancing the Road with the Gals! Let the #yff12 Shenanigans Begin!

Having flashbacks to the now legendary #yff11 Road Trip to the Yorkton Film Festival with Katrina German, Dave Schultz and Naidu Photography.  And yes, it is true, Katrina and I were given keys to the City of Yorkton (and no, Erica, my key was not meant for you)!

Counting down the seconds now until Katrina’s and my #yff12 Road Trip to commence.  We’ve ditched the boys this time in favour of roamancing our way with the gals to Yorkton.  We know Erica Hargreave knows what she’s getting herself into and only has herself to blame, but Annelise Larson is another story.  Really though, at this stage of the game, all we can do is wish her luck (and maybe that you all show her a little love on the road @veriatweet).

Feel free to join in the shenanigans by following along with #yff12 and our tweets from @Katrinavision, @veriatweet, @EricaHargreave, @Roamancing and little ol’ moi @EmmeRogers.

Kisses from the land of the Golden Sheaf,

Emme xoxo

Egyptian Daily Diaries: Red Boot Roamancing on the Red Sea

Having a good chuckle at our producer, Erica Hargreave, and her obsession with the Roamancing Red Boots.  Little did she know why they got us so many smiles and laughs in Egypt. I found out though with the help of my super sleuthing skills.

Valentine’s Love

For me Valentine’s should not be a one day affair or simply about couples.  Valentine’s should be an on-going philosophy of remembering to tell the people in your life that you love them and showing them that on a regular basis.  Saying “I love you”  when you get off the phone or bid them adieu, giving them hugs and kisses when you see them and leave them, and doing thoughtful things for them.

Alas I may not be Richard Yearwood's 'lover', but I do love that this man has no issues with hugging, kissing or telling me he loves me. The feeling is mutual and one of the many reasons I love to both work and play with this man.

These are not simply the ramblings of a gal that is single on Valentine’s Day.  I actually generally prefer my single Valentines, as more people tell me they love me and I am never met with disappointment.  Plus Fuzzywiggle Furrypants Roo makes the best damn Valentine’s cat that there ever was.  She gives even more kisses and hugs than I do (and I’m pretty liberal with mine).

No, this is a philosophy instilled in me thanks to my parents.  And thanks to them, it is the reason that I know where I stand with my family, close friends and many of the people who I work with (who I consider to be family and close friends) ~ they love me and I love them (Hell, at  Ahimsa that seems to be one of the long term prerequisites ~ do they have talent and do we love them ~ necessary after all, when we do long hours, all over the World).  And as I get older and have sadly started to lose some of the people in my life that I love, it is for this reason that I always know the last thing that I said to them ~ I  love you! (and despite saying these words often, every day of my life, they are not hollow words).

And with that, I send all you lovely readers some hugs …

With smooches to Ian MacLatchy for posting this video on our producer, Erica’s, facebook wall, where I spotted it.

Love and Kisses,

Emme xoxo

A Hot Drink for a Snowy Van City Day: The Coffee Float

I am may love to argue with Erica Hargreave, but she really is quite brilliant at times, especially when it comes to designing such delightful concoctions as The Coffee Float.  Now I know Erica would protest and say it was a group effort between her, her friend Monica, and the Girl Guides and Sparks (as after all they were the ones with the brilliant idea of Ice Cream for Breakfast), but Erica’s the one that took it that extra steps further and added Sunday toppings on it and got the mix just right.

The Coffee Float as created by Erica Hargreave

Ingredients

  • 3/4 of a cup of good coffee
  • 1 small – medium scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream
  • chocolate syrup
  • caramel syrup
  • sprinkles

Method

  • Fill a mug 3/4 full with piping hot, quality coffee.
  • Top the coffee off with a small to mid size scoop of ice cream.
  • Decorate with chocolate syrup, caramel syrup and sprinkles. (No, these are not optional.  That would just be plain silly.)

* If you add sugar to your coffee, you can probably give that a miss on this beverage.  It’s sweet enough on it’s own.*

Drink back and enjoy!  With special dedication to all the folks out shoveling and being neighbourly this morning.

Kisses,

Emme xoxo

Santa, Panties and Plenty of Kisses … What More Could a Gal Want!?! #LPV10

I always love Launch Party for connecting with old friends and checking out new start-ups and last night’s was no different.  Just very upset that Santa was hiding on me.  I wanted to see if he still wanted to buy me a house.  Something or other about Raul and Erica sitting on his lap at the same time sent the poor man into hiding, however. And really can you blame him?  There’s only so much goodness that one man can give and those two are so bloody demanding (perhaps this is one of the reasons I begrudgingly love them both).

One Visibly Distressed Santa Sandwiched by Erica and Raul at #LPV10

So last night’s highlight for me???

Well, duh!!!!  Panty by Post! I’ve only been dying to meet the sexy gals behind it for months, not to mention, finally getting the opportunity to caress their luxurious European panties.

Which brings me back to Santa. I know the Holidays are about the giving.  But if you so happen to want to give me a present this year, Panty by Post would give both you and I something, that is if I were to happen to post a pic or two of me modeling my monthly panties. Just saying, you know, in case any of you are wracking your brain as to what to give me aside from hugs and kisses.  You know I’d hate to think I was causing any of you stress in life.

Now this brings me to a conversation and debate a ‘girlfriend’ and I were having last night after fondling the wonderfully soft men’s briefs they had out for the snuggling. How soon can one mail a man panties?  Is it ever too soon in a relationship to do such a thing?  I mean my ‘girlfriend’ wouldn’t want to scare him off or come across as a tart.  Also gents, how personal are a man’s panties to them?  Would you wear panties a gal sent you?  Would you wear these? And then there’s the question of sizing …

Food for thought.  And please do share those thoughts!

Kisses,

Emme xoxo

PS Thanks to Maura, Danny, Dimitri (and Sonia) for another great Launch Party!
