Get on the Bus …. to Yorkton

Excited to be heading off to my first ever Yorkton Film Festival this week!!!!  Going with Tris Hussey and Erica Hargreave to cover the lighter side of the festival.  So if you want to read about boring interactive storytelling, social media, future of media stuff …..blah…blah…blah, then go read what they have to say on the m2o blog and on Bridging Media.  And if you want to read all the important things about the latest party, the whose who and what I wore to what party read here.

On the note of parties, I do hear that the Yorkton Film Festival is not only THE oldest film festival in North America, but THE best party.  And I do promote safe partying, so if your looking at how to get to Yorkton and are coming from Regina, leave the car behind and get on the bus.

That’s right!  I’m busing it on what I like to call the ‘Yorkton Party Train’ (yes, I know a bus and train are two different vehicles, but ‘train’ just sounds so much cooler).  You too could bus to Yorkton and hang with me (and Tris and Erica).  And you can do it for free!!!  Here are the details of the ‘Yorkton Party Train’ (aka the SMPIA Bus):

SMPIA in partnership with the Yorkton Short Film and Video Festival is pleased to announce that for the first time, transportation to and from Yorkton will be completely free to all delegates departing from Regina!

Join us for a unique networking and screening opportunity as we roll our way across the prairies!

This year, the party starts at home as the ride out there becomes a social event itself!

Why ride up and back alone?  Get on the bus!

The Chocolatey Snowshoe Verdict

Not an easy thing to do to decide on the perfect dates for Kittyn and I for tonight for our delightfully romantic winter date to Cypress Mountain.  I’ve wanted to go on the Chocolate Fondue Snowshoe Tour for so many years now that this is not a decision to be made lightly.  Also I have to say, theres been some damn sweet, most flattering and rather amusing Valentines.

No. 9: Dark chocolate fondue by afloden.

So here are my thoughts:

Would love to take either Clive or Christian (@daubu), but they live too far away to make it here on time.

Adore my little Dose of Lunacy (@monicahamburg) and @saltybean, but they hate snow and I don’t want them ruining my love of snow (already I’m thinking of gagging Kittyn, at least until we arrive at Hollyburn Lodge).

Raul will always be my Valentine, but I may have to strangle him if he starts whispering ‘sweet Microsoft Vista nothings’ in my ear, so he’s out, as that would take away from the romance.

Tris, the Hussey, is a taken man and I want a bit of romance, so he’s out.

My ginger’s letters made me laugh, but call me weird (and many have), but I don’t find having my eyeballs plucked out with a spoon to be all that romantic and I want romance.

@ericaha is the perfect snow loving gal, but she confessed to me that she actually already has plans for this evening.  Should have known the good ones would go fast.

It is for my desire for romance that I’ve decided to make Keith my date.  His letter is the most romantic and I do have to admit that he’s a good kisser, plus he likes nibbling on my ears.

For Kittyn, I’ve decided that ‘Savannah’ would be the perfect date for her, as they are both brats and deserve each other.

Congrats Keith and ‘Savannah’!  Looking forward to discovering how the night unfolds!

Kisses,

Emme

Valentines for Lola & Kittyn

Good!  However, much I may have been teasing about ‘Valentines for Moi‘, I really didn’t want this to be the ‘All About Emme Show’. And it’s not.  A couple of hot and steamies have rolled in for Lola and Kittyn too.

Lola May by you.

A tweetheart from @ericaha to Lola May:

Love you Lola! You’ll always be my crazy Valentines that gets me into the wildest and most hilarious situations, exposing me to the adventure, whilst always keeping me safe from harm.  Can never truly express how glad I am to have you in my life.  You rock my world!

And it would appear that the hussey really gets around.  For Kittyn:

I am shocked and aghast that there were *no* Valentines for the sexiest Kittyn I know! This must be rectified right now…

Kittyn, I had such a hard time choosing who to send a Valentine to…You hold just a purrfectly special place in my heart. I would ensure that you, oh lovely and lithe feline goddess, would have warmed cream for your coffee and a warm spot to snuggle next to a fire. Only the best for you, scented candles, oils and and any treat that you desire… All this would be yours, if I were honoured with your attention.

Alas, like my adoration for Emme, it must be from afar. My OperaGal is my heart’s desire and she is whom I lavish affection upon..

Tris

Love seeing the ‘love’ spreading it’s snuggly hug all around!  And don’t worry about Miss Fuzzywiggle Furrypants. There’s plenty of love coming for her too.  Her four legged pals are just using the regular post – something about wanting to send their scent.

Calling All Digital Storytellers

Was speaking with two of my favourite Van Sexies last weekend, Bridging Media gals – Megan Cole and Erica Hargreave – and they asked me to spread the word on the Women in Film Festivals New Media Award organized by Maayan Cohen and Danika Dinsmore of Women In Film and Television.  The deadline for submissions is tomorrow, Friday December 5th.

If you are using emerging technologies to tell a story and a third of of your key positions are held by women – submit!!!  It’s free and totally painless.  And if you win, it gives me yet another sexy and savvy storyteller to blog about.

Spring Adventures

So my dear readers, I know I have been very negligent in writing as of late. I apologize, but I do have a good excuse. With all this talk of Spring Fever and my suggestion that you, dear readers, write in with your sexy affairs in search for spring time fever, I decided I was being a little hypocritical with all talk and suggestion, but no action. Cowardly I know. But I have spent the past two-weeks rectifying that situation. And oh, ohh, ohhhhh the stories I could tell!!! It is really too bad for you that I am such a private person!

Spring fever aside, another nice little spring adventure just fell in my lap. I AM GOING TO BANFF!!!!! That’s right for The Banff World Television Festival!! Gotta phone call last night from an ex-lover and he invited me to town for the week thinking I’d get a kick out of being in town for the television fest, which of course I will, and an old flame is never a bad way to turn up the spring heat!

Banff

Have yet to figure out the whole plan, but word on the street has it that our friends – Kris Krug, Megan Cole and Erica Hargreave of Raincity Studios and Bridging Media will be in Banff covering both nextMEDIA and the Banff TV Fest of all things! So am definitely keeping my eye on those cats, as you know that they’re bound to be at all of the best parties!

Also thinking that I’ll sign up for Sunday’s Golf Tournament, as rumor has it that a lot of the big players tee off their festival this way and I have heard that it swings off the week on a nice, relaxing stroke. That aside, am definitely signing up for the Tuesday at the festival as none other then Kim Cattrall of Sex and the City will be there!!!!! And I have to meet a gal that so clearly reminds me of Miss Kittyn on the big screen! My ex-lover also tells me that the barbecue on Tuesday night is somewhat of a Banff legend that is making it’s first debut after several years on hiatus.

A Very Sexy Gal

The other days will be all about the meetings that I can schedule. Gotta get on that (pretty much right NOW!). The focus – definitely a literary agent – it is time to figure out what I can really do with that book I am writing – and with the release of Sexy in the City on the big screen, there definitely isn’t a better time than right now. Am also feeling particularly voyeuristic these days, so who knows, maybe it is time for that acting agent too!

More from the Rockies my dear fans!

Kisses,

Emme
