In case you didn’t notice on flickr, I am ‘unleashing my inner freak’ this Christmas with the designs of Salty Bean!

In all seriousness though (cause let’s face it I don’t just leave Christmas for unleashing my inner freak), one of my favourite new Vancouver designers has a couple craft fairs coming up and for no other reason, then that I want her to be successful so she keeps making cool stuff for me to outfit myself, my family and my many nieces with, I am thinking it might be in my best interest to share this little gem with the rest of you cats.
So whom is this designer that I speak? The brand is Salty Bean and the designers are a mom and daughter team, Jen Hong and Morgan. They started by making dolls / mini monsters that caught my eye, as they have some that are actually anatomically correct. Since then they’ve started on clothing, key chains, bags, hats and whatever else titillates their imagination.
Where can you find them? Well – this weekend, November 29th and 30th, they will be at the Women’s Winter Faire from 11 am to 6 pm at Heritage Hall at 3102 Main St (at the corner of 15th). If you can’t make this weekend, they will be there again on the weekend of December 20th and 21st at the same bat time and same bat place.
Just be aware, if you get between me and a Salty Bean design that I want, I bite.
See you there this weekend!

Thanks for the kind words, Emme.
Lola sure took some HOT photos of you – can’t wait until we can see the rest on Flickr! I notice you forgot to tell people about you sex crackers… perhaps (if we’re lucky) you’re saving it for another post.

Tod – You are exactly the kind of character who should be embracing clothing with a tag line of ‘unleash your inner freak’. Expecting to see you sporting some salty bean wear next time I see you ; ).
Jen – What do sex crackers and Christmas Craft Fairs have in common? Two totally different topics. That said, thank you – I forgot that I needed to do a bit of shopping on Davie Street. One of these years I should think about merchandising them. See you tomorrow!
