Waking Up to the Burnaby Blues and Roots Festival 2017

August 12, 2017 By Emme Rogers 3 Comments

Waking up Burnaby Blues and Roots Festival morning is like Christmas morning for me as a kid.  Excitement and anticipation fill the air!  Getting to sit back on the lawn at Deer Lake and listen to the various musicians is like unwrapping the most marvellous gifts!  All totally different and most delightful in their own ways.   This year’s Burnaby Blues and Roots Festival 2017 is no different! In relishing anticipation, I know I get to enjoy 3 past musician favourites of mine – Little Miss Higgins, Jesse Roper, and Matt Andersen, and I get to indulge in 6 new-to-me musicians – Jesse Waldman, Kaya Kurz, Murray Porter, Leeroy Stagger, Sue Foley, and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue!  Good times!

Burnaby Blues and Roots Festival

For those of you coming down to relax and dance away on the lawn of Deer Lake, here is a taste of what the day has in store for the music lover … and if you don’t have tickets yet, you can still get them:

Murray Porter (1:05 – 1:45 pm on the Main Stage)

Kaya Kurz (1:45 – 2:30 pm on the Garden Stage)

Jesse Roper (2:30 – 3:15 pm on the Main Stage)

Jesse Waldman (3:15 – 4 pm on the Garden Stage)

Leeroy Stagger (4 – 4:45 pm on the Main Stage)

Little Miss Higgins (4:45 – 5:30 pm on the Garden Stage)

Sue Foley (5:30 – 6:20 pm on the Main Stage)

Matt Andersen (6:45 – 8 pm on the Main Stage)

Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue (8:30 – 10 pm on the Main Stage)

Hope to see you there!

Kisses,

Emme xoxo

Don't try to find a beginning or an end to this site, because there's not one. That will only cause you frustration and I don't have the money for your therapy bills. Mine are already expensive enough.
