Having had the incredible opportunity to work on a friend’s Remembrance Day documentary, it really drove home for me how very fortunate we are to share the freedoms and safety that we do. Those did not come without cost. Many died and those who lived, saw and experienced horrors that no one should ever have to experience. But they did, so we might not.
In visiting Poland a couple of years ago, I was reminded by an all to recent history for Poland of what oppression can do to a people … to a country. I also realized that if we are not careful, and do not stand together and remember, how we risk a Third World War. I pray that never happens.
Remember.
My thanks to our veterans and those that we have lost for the freedoms and security that we enjoy.
