Obnoxious, I know, but I can’t help it, I love the opera and haven’t been in awhile. And besides, it’s only opening night at the Vancouver Opera. Norma still plays on December 1, 3, and 5th.
I don’t know very much about opera and have long considered it to be inaccessible. Yet, opera is an artform that embraces nearly all others – singing, instruments, visual art (set design), costume design, and drama too. In this, it’s hard to dismiss it. I hope to hear all about it, Ems.

Granted the Opera is indeed a treat, to be relished, but not inaccessible in Vancouver. You can get tickets for the Vancouver Opera for as little as $29, which whilst not cheap, is not outrageously expensive either.
